Carter Brothers Interceptor XRV GTR250By Randy Eckman (AKA Areblder)

Carter Brothers Manufacturing Company, Inc. recently released a highly anticipated new kart which is part of what they call the XRV Hybrid Vehicle Series.  The full designation is the XRV Interceptor GTR 250. This is a well made buggy that boasts a reported 20HP SYM 250cc ATV engine, “the engine of life”!  No other go kart or buggy in the industry uses a SYM engine and Carter Brothers is the exclusive distributor for SYM in the USA.  Submitted here is a review of this fine machine for the BuggyNews readers.

First, some background on the manufacturer.  Carter Brothers is located in Brundidge Louisiana and is situated in a 235,000 square foot facility that is home to their research and development, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, quality control, warehousing, sales and their management team.  Carter Brothers Manufacturing has officially been in business since 1938 starting out as small manufacturer of agricultural equipment.  In 1967 they built their first go kart which propelled them to the ranks of industry leader in the go kart manufacturing community.  Carter Brothers uses laser technology, robotic welding, powder coating finishes, and computer assisted design to build some of the finest go karts and buggies available today.
